Commuting course

For Road I graduates who wish to learn more about commuting by bicycle. This three hour session covers route selection, bicycle choice, dealing with cargo and clothing, bike parking, lighting, foul weather riding and night riding. Each student will receive a handbook.


During 3 hours of instruction and on-bike practice with certified cycling instructor Bruce Rosar, discover how to better deal with:

2008 Winter session:
Feb 1st (F) 6-9 PM
Location: Bond Park Community Center in Cary, NC.

Course fee: $15 for each student.
Deposit: check for $15 payable to Bruce Rosar
(your check won't be deposited if the class is cancelled).
Registration: if it will arrive before Thursday, Jan 31st, mail your completed registration form (PDF) and deposit to

Please notify Bruce (brucewr@mindspring.com or 481-0933) if you put your form and deposit in the mail, as the class may be cancelled if at least five registrations have not been received before Monday, Jan 27th.

Please bring the balance of your fee, bicycle, lights, helmet, riding clothes, water bottle & a pen to the first class.

Minimum student age without parent or legal guardian present at ALL times is 18.
Minimum student age with      parent or legal guardian present at ALL times is 15.
Minimum class size is five students; maximum is ten.

Note: The League of American Bicyclists calls this course Bike Ed TM Commuting.
